The original Shichi had an odd-eye: the left eye was blue and the right eye was brown. The two clones delivered at Sooam did not completely inherit Shichi's traits. One had a brown eye on the left and a blue eye on the right while the other had both brown eyes. However, both of the clones' DNA perfectly matched that of the original.
Such conspicuous aberrant traits from the original are sometimes observed in cloned dogs (e.g. location of spots on the fur). Most studies cite epigenetics, a change in gene expression caused by something other than the DNA sequence, as the reason for such aberrances. Researchers at Sooam are currently applying molecular biology techniques to explore such scientific reasoning.
