Lancelot is the world's first commercialized cloned dog. Edgar and Nina Otto, the parents of Lancelot, named the clone "Lancelot Encore." According to Ottos, when Lancelot Encore came out of the chute, he ran straight to them even though it was his first time seeing them. Also, he bonded immediately with other pets in the house and acted just like the original Lancelot.
